They are not as waterproof as you suggest but are better than other products. However, the are quite expensive.

Absolutely LOVE them! Medtronic has a convoluted taping system - this is more comfortable and easier to apply!

I like the thin patch and that the centre is non sticky, much better than the previous versions with the backing to cover the centre of the patch. However the first couple of patches I've worn have all started to peel off after 3 or 4 days, hence the lower rating.
